Ive actually been to Whitehouse TX.  Nice lil town. Course I had to spend the night in Tyler... A little further down the road is Noonday. Best onion in the world.  IMHO better than those Vidalia. 

Almost fell in love with The Noonday Onion Queen a long time ago.  But that story is best left for another forum...

Yep, After Sonny died and the kids took over, it's still good but not the same. They expanded to several locations. Sonny told me he was happy right there, he had more business than the he handle most of the time.  When he ran out he put up a sign saying out of whatever .  I miss those old days

Damn, smoked a chicken tonite old school. Dried with a paper towel, a little salt, 1/2 a charge of pecan shells, and that was it. Damn, I just don't care what ya do to modify a chicken you just can't beat simple. Less smoke was definately more.
