Yep its hard to go back to regular bacon once you have made your own. The only time I buy bacon now is to wrap around my meats to smoke. Job well done![IMG][IMG]

Uh Oh, Looks like we trapped another one into our "Bacon Makin' Gang".

    Good job poindexter![IMG]

PS: Now that you know your camera works, next time how 'bout a pic of the sliced product, before wrapping. Having to look through the bags only causes me to drool out one side of my mouth. That aint right!
  8. Looks GREAT!! Making bacon is something I have never done, but I need to.

Well I kind of winged it I have a pound of tinder quick and 5 pounds of sugar cure and since I haven't found any recipes for the sugar cure i went with the tinder quick.

So I used one tablespoon of tinderquick per pound of meat.
I also added garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper and some white sugar I might have put other stuff in it but I dont remember then I put it in ziplocks and in the fridge flipping it every morning for ten days then smoked it to a internal temp of 145 with apple chips. I didnt really follow and directions just knew I needed to do 1 tablespoon of tinderquick per pound of meat and that was about it. It turned out great I didnt even have to soak the meat cause it wasnt too salty.
  11. Very nice, this is the first time I have seen this type of bacon. I am new to the site, but I will have to try and me some very soon.
