I'm doing my first smoke in about three years right now and it's not going too well.
Got up late, so I got a late start.
Fire started too cold then got too hot.
It started to downpour about 2.5 hours into it, right about then my fire went out. I couldn't get another one started in the rain. I had my bro bring over a torch and finally got it going now it's pouring again.

I'll try to post some pics here.
btw i'm doing pork ribs and a batch of Dutches wicked beans.

I guess my pics are too big? A little over 100 kbs.
I'll have to figure out a different way to post them.

AHHHHH young grass hopper, seems like a bit of the bed bugs got ya. In my quest for the best "Q" i have found that full comminment and good planning never have steered me wrong. i find a good pop up tent kept handy will keep the wet weather from gettin me down and not to mention a very loud alarm clock.....JMO

Good luck and keep on tendin to your "Q" and you should do fine

well, it wasn't a total loss, lol.
I ended up taking the ribs off, wrapping them in foil with some apple juice and putting them in the oven at 225 for about the last 2.5 or three hours.
I didn't get any pics after the rain storms.
The ribs came out pretty good, real tender and a light smokey flavor.
Dutches wicked beans were wicked. Those babies are a meal all in themselves!
Next time I'm leaving all the seeds and ribs in the jalapenos though. I'll be curious to try all this stuff out tomorrow.
I used apple wood for the smoke btw.
I'll see if I can get some pics up tomorrow, too tired tonight!

Thanks for all the comments :)
