Its been a crazy month around here.
Bout 4 or 5 weeks ago my brother got very sick and ended up in the hospital in ICU. They said he had "some raging infection" but they couldnt determine where it originated or what was causing it. But it was in his blood and through his body. The Dr. had little or no hope that he would ever walk outta that place. Well while Curt was still in his coma I mentioned to him that when he got outta there we were gonna fix him some ribs. I know he could hear me cause he about came outta that bed.
Any way About a week later he awoke much to the Dr.s surprise but he still didnt give us much hope. He didnt know Curt very well. A few days later and Curt is sittin up in bed. Afew more days and he is standing. Then walking. When they removed the tube from his throat Curt started hittin on the nurses. Oh yeah he's back. All he wanted was to go home to spend the weekend with his two daughters and to be home on his birthday. Well the Good Lord answered that prayer. So I promptly ordered a case of ribs. 12 slabs of beautiful BBs. I didnt know how many we would be feedin but I knew I be stuffin that Chargriller fuller than it had ever been.

Well he had a great weekend at home and two days later re entered the hospital where he died. They couldnt keep his heart beating and he died on his birthday.

So now the ribs are here and Curt isnt. His daughters have gone back to their own families and Im smokin ribs in his memory. God rest his soul.

Sorry about cryin on your shoulders.

I'm SO sorry to hear that!

Sorry to hear about your lose. Atleast he was able to come home for a short time before joining god. If you need anything let us know.

Really sorry to hear about your brother. I lost mine a few years ago. It's a tough deal to get through, but you will. I'm glad he got to spend a great weekend at home. That's something you will never forget.

Sorry to hear that. I lost my brother suddenly a few years ago. I know what you're feeling. Every time I have his favorite meal, sauerbraten, I think of him. I'm sure it will be the same way with you & BB ribs.

Take care, THE ICEMAN

Sorry to hear of your loss. I draw strength from doing things (like BBQ) that I am passionate about. Since you shared the love of 'Que with your brother, I'm sure that you will also draw strength from the good times and comradarie that you have shared. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
