This thread is really not about the smoker but more about the extremely kind gesture yrrndsmoker has shown by stepping up and offering his smoker which hasn't been used lately, to a new home. I honestly cannot thank him enough for what he did today. I am in extreme awe over this.
Today our fishing buddy and I drove up to to yrrndsmoker's house ( about a 90 minute drive) to pick up my new toy. The weather was perfect and the Golden Gate Bridge was beautiful to drive across. When we got there, I was really expecting to see a very worn and broken smoker (something which would typically be giving away) but instead find this unit which he had just fired up a little while before we got there. On wheels and has a cover.
I have a lot of cleaning to do on mainly the inside and then do a couple test runs. Already have ideas on re-routing the air to the upper vent to help centralize the flow upward in the center instead of the back right corner.
For now, it's time to just sit and admire the new family member.
yrrndsmoker, I honestly cannot thank you enough for what you have done. I owe you big time. :points:
