Hi Crispy,

Hang in there, you have gotten to the world's best BBQ/Smoking site. You have a perfectly decent cooking unit and the know how to ask questions (you got here by yourself, right?)

Don't be afraid to try something new (last weekend I smoked a rubbed rump roast...jiminy!) and no matter what, someone, somewhere has probably done it before....and they'll share it. It was nice to find out I wasn't the only one to try that experiment that turned out very well, actually! Damn Good and tender! Folks here are great.

Thanks all for the warm welcome.I am looking forward to swapping stories with all of you.I also have had some wild stuff on the brinkman in the past but it was Fatty's that got me here.Heard the term never knew what it was started searching and found this place smokin 2 this weekend once I decide on the stuffin.Fairly new to the forum concept in general so bear with me this is only the second one I've been on.My dad and I have been smokin for years with ECB's and Little totems just kind of trying different stuff and making usual fav's. Eager to try some great ideas from the forum.

Welcome to SMF Dan! You definitely will find lots of fun stuff to try on here. Fattys, ABTs, the works. Heck, I even found something new to try this weekend that I've been assured is absolutely awesome... smoked cabbage. Anyhow, happy reading, an we look forward to hearing about ypur first fatty. Hey, if you haven't tried them before... do an ABT or two (ok, a dozen is better). They don't take long and are one of the best snacks/appetizers I've ever had. Learned about those here too.
