Well, my mother just got out of the hospital after some back surgery. All is well. With that said, she Loves meat loaf but hasn't had a smoked loaf yet as I just started doing them. So, I figured I'd do one up for her today. As such, have some pictures but none of it sliced as you might understand:

Rubbed up and ready to go:

The flip after an hour and a half:

At 155 internal, I flip it back into the pan and put a glaze on to 160:

Then, done at 160 internal with the lite glaze on top:

The only bad news, I wanted to eat it but it's not mine to eat,

. These really are great and smell almost as good as they taste, and they smell incredible.

Another fine job looks great

and hope your mother recovers fast and all goes well

Looks like you're gonna have to smoke a couple of those at a time. Nice Q.

Glad all is well,,looks like she will be eating meat loaf for awhile unless you and the troops dig in also. great looking smoke..and the spices on top look great..lol.
Now that we see how well they turn out..we'll have to give her a go..
one of my buds is PCSing and gave me 10lbs of oryx burger plus a bunch of other animal parts he could not take. think I will try the meat loaf with it..
have a great day..

Thanks guys...

Bubba, it gets plenty of smoke. The whole smoke is 2.5 to 3 hours. It stays in the pan the first hour to hour and a half depending on preference. The rest of the time is out of the pan.

I should mention there are 6 holes in the bottom of the pan and I poke holes in the foil as well. Mainly its so that any grease can drain but also helps in the smoke I would guess.
