I am thinking of buying a Twin door brinkman charcoal today. It will sit on the firebox of my Lang 48 mobile I think. The intended use would be for poultry and second duty as warmer without a fire in it just getting heat of my firebox. I wonder how long before I would burn this sucker out if I buy it setting on my firebox and with a fire of its own in it sometimes. LOL

Any Thoughts?

Hey rick there's not a stupid question here unless you cann't light your propane grill while wondering what that other knob is. That smoker is built out of thin sheet metal so it might burn up. How about getting a propane unit and mount it on the tongue of your trailor is there room for it when your pulling it to your smoke.
Then you can set it real low for the warmer and use it for finishing meals too. Please post a picture of it and we will figure something out because alot of us aren't really in the box right.

not a real stupid question.. what I'd do, if it were me, would be to go out and buy a slab of expanded metal and weld it to the top of your firebox, and then weld 1/2" spacers atop it, so that you can get a little airflow under your brinkman, but still get plenty of heat. that'll slow down the burnout a lot, I would think.
