Hi everyone.  I usually don't do the "introduction route" on a new forum, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to have lots of questions so I decided to legitimize myself

I am a single,70 years ancient woman who is addicted to forever trying new challenges and I recently purchased and assembled a Masterbilt 2 door -30 gal. smoker. After reading lots of forums and investigating potential problems, I converted my propane hookup to a natural gas hookup, with larger orifice, etc.  Then, after a trial run to season the smoker, I decided I needed to attach a needle valve.  (That part was the most challenging- kept finding wrong adapters and and the  right adapters that leaked.  So..

Finally I'm ready to try my first BBQ.  I'm expecting to have some failed results, because that seems to be the only way I figure things out.  I'm sure some of you will be hearing from me as I muddle through, but I have to say I am eager to give it a try.  Thanks for reading my long story.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Welcome from SC, Sue. It's really good to have you here on this great site. Good luck with your new smoker. It's always good to have someone here who is younger than me. By the way, I hope that avatar is not a selfie. LOL

Sue Welcome SMF! Looking at all these great cooks is going to give you an appetite.

Hi, Sue! You went over my head changing from LP to NG and installing the needle valve! I just went from gas to wood when the challenges hit LOL.
At 63 myself, you're not "ancient", just kind of a big sister [emoji]128522[/emoji]
Great to have you with us!
Dan

(Don't be surprised to be hearing from 70yr old single guys ;-)
