Planning on smoking a chuck roast and some home made sausages in the next few days in defiance of the current Tropical Storm warning for Andrea here in coastal NC.

It got me thinking, what's the most extreme conditions you've fired up in? Weather, temp, high altitude, combat, etc?

4 pork shoulders in the dead of winter around 5 degrees outside, with a wind chill of -10...had a welding blanket draped and tied around my MES40 for 14 hours

Did some foods a while back with 80 mph wind gusts, but was using an electric, and if the wind isn't blowing here, there's something wrong. Also lots of foods in the winter with several inches of snow and below zero wind chills. Ya just gotta do what ya gotta do!
