Good morning to all of you Smokers out there.  I decided to do a nice 9.5lb Butt and out it in the smoker last night about 10PM.  Planning about a 16 hour smoke BUTT we shall see if it cooperates

Here she is all rubbed up.  For the first time I decided to use some Worcestershire sauce on the outside before applying the rub.  Coated with the Worcestershire sauce then added MY butt rub.  Let rest in fridge overnight then re-applied rub before hitting the smoker.

Here she sits at IT 169F.  Man this is some great color....and oh my God the smell.  I am drooling already.

I am using a mix of Pecan and Cherry for this smoke.  I cannot tell you how nice it is having an Electric smoker that I can load up and go to bed!!!   Not having to sit and babysit it.   To all the newbies just getting started with their Electric smokers here is some advice....don't overthink this whole smoking thing.  Don't worry about "constant smoker temps"!  Cook to Internal Temp and have the best BBQ you have ever had.  Make your OWN rubs. Sit back....relax and enjoy.

Looking good Scott,

I like wooshy sauce, never tried it as a rub addition.  Waiting anxiously for the reviews.

Nice , Scott . Good presentation . (I need a better camera.)

Glad you are sill doing your thing and haven't blown or washed away , there in Texas. This is when I'm glad I don't have to put up with it anymore . It gets like

Houston humid here , but the constant Twister warnings aren't blaring . Not that it wasn't fun or exciting and thrilling , but . . .

Keep them good ideas coming , thanks forth Slaw recipe .

I use a DSLR (Nikon D3100 ) and it takes GREAT pics.  the pork was even better than it looked though!  That cole slaw is the best I have had.  Let me know how you like it.

That Worcestershire sauce idea sounds interesting. Great pics, and pulled pork with coleslaw and hot sauce on a sesame seed bun is one of my top ten favorite things to eat!

The wooshy sauce lent a great flavor to the butt.  It's my brothers idea and it worked!!

Had the PP on the bun (toasted) then a layer of Carolina Mustard Sauce,  BBQ Sauce and coleslaw mmmm mmmmm good.  Thanks for the points guys!!
