Tried some spare ribs for the first time today. Followed SmokinAl's recipe. Thanks to Al for answering my questions Thumbs Up.

Family said they were good, but not Rib Cribs ribs. I told them they weren't fall off the bone ribs. They still said that they came out very good!! Next time they want me to try fall off the bone ribs...

Here's a few pic of my outcome.

I would eat them! FOB is pulled pork to me,and butts are cheaper!

Your ribs look excellent Mike!

If you want FOTB ribs then all you have to do is cook them a bit longer in the foil.

The final IT would be 200-205.

I think your ribs look perfect just as they are!

Point to you for making the carousel on your first try at ribs!

Congratulations!!!

They look great. I think I have found your issue though. Rib Crib ribs are the family standard? Yep...family has to go. Something wrong with the taste buds there.

I totally agree. However it seems that the local rib crib in my small but growing city has stepped up their game. Some of their menu selections are pretty good. I'm going to try the ribs again before family comes in town next month. Ribs and Mac & Cheese have been requested.

Great looking ribs.

We have a similar problem here with She Who Must Be Obeyed and I having different tastes re rib texture. Keep smoking and you will find a happy middle!

Smoking is great, anytime you ain't crazy about

what you smoked, you still eat it, and it's still good.

Then you can do it again.

Them are good looking ribs, family don't like 'em.

I'll send you my address.

Points to you, Sir.
