1st Smoked Chicken with New Char-Griller

    I have the same smoker.  I am really curious to your time and temps as well.

    That thing looks great!  What sauce did you use on it?
  6. I smoked it for 4.5 hours at around 225. An hour per pound. Mopped it with an apple juice and Sweet Baby Ray's syrup mixture i made. Thanks for the good words.
  7. Awesome, I haven't tried a whole chicken yet but definitely in future plans. It looks great!!

     What was you internal temp(s) when you finished?

     And, Did you brine the bird first?
  9. No brine. Internal temp was 170-175.
