This was my first try at smoking, The family and I thought the ribs turned out good I hope they get better from here

I was wondering the same thing. Did you happen to season the smoker prior to making food in it? If not, that may have altered the taste of the ribs.
 
Very nice looking BB's for a first smoke. I bet they tasted real good. Keep up the good work.

congrads on the first smoke. Looks great. Like others have asked, did you season the smoker first?

I had ran it at 300 for about 3 hours and smoke in it for 2 hrs @ 250 before I used it, I know it looks clean,( was first at cooking) I guess I'm not sure if I seasoned it right?? It is aluminum on the inside with stainless steel expanded metal for the grates
