Well here's a pic from my first Brisket that I fixed for the 4th. Started out as a 7.5lb brisket. I put Jeff's rub and used Jack Daniel's oak with mesquite and hickory. Smoked for about 13 hours in my MES. Everyone seemed to really like it. Since there were only about 3 pieces left after the 4th.

As I like to say even a broken clock is right twice a day! But thanks everyone for all the great comments. It was great. I've got 2 fatties going now to see how they will turn out. I love smoked meats!
