A full smoker is a happy smoker

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It was really one of the most humbling experiences of my life. The event was a huge success and 1000 members of the navy, marines, and coastguard got treated to a an extensive BBQ dinner with all the fixings:

Me and 2 buddies headed up team appetizer for a special cocktail hour for 300 veterans. Wish I had pics but the apps included grilled pineapple and kielbasa skewers, satay chicken skewers, Moinks, bacon wrapped blue cheese stuffed dates, grilled stuffed mushrooms.

The dinner included ribs, chicken quarters, pork loin, kielbasa and kraut, Italian sausage and peppers, tri tip, hanger steaks, a crawfish boil, and all the sides you can think of. It really was amazing to see the 120 volunteers pull it all together and make this event happen. We had people from
All over the country come to help out including Paul Shirley from Shirley Fabrications who made a beautiful smoker just for us to use at future events for the military! Such a fun loving and generous guy!

We were lucky enough to take a tour of one of the ships and it was almost uncomfortable how thankful the service men and women were... A good meal is the least we can do for all they sacrifice. I was busy so I didn't snap too many pics but I'll leave you with a few. Thanks for looking guys!
