    Here's our list of peppers for this year. Just about all planted.

    Sounds great. Question, how do the lone plants do?

    I've always planted at least two of the same for the pollination effect but I am aware that they all will cross pollinate.

    Look forward to some Q-view of that garden!

    i'm sure the doc will give you a clean bill of health by summers end. You will scare the bad things long gone. I'm thinking you may have the largest assortment of peps in the land besides seed grow farms. Awesome. Wish I lived near you.

    They do cross pollinate, I have had some fairly hot california wonders ( sweet bell peppers ) come out with a bite to them. And have had gourds cross with winter squash. Sounds like an interesting assortment though. Ableman is correct.

    My husband is actually the chile head. Once they start producing he usually eats a few raw every day. It seems he always has a plastic bag on hand with a few different types of pods for eating and handing out. He makes some dried powders out of them, some combining flavors of peppers and others pure. He'll do some sauces and jellies. My favorite is the hot pepper jelly! Put that over a block of cream cheese and you're in heaven! Last year we took a jar of hot pepper jelly to a smoked pork tenderloin...everyone loved it!!!!

    nice garden..pepper garden are wonderfull. full of color.I know they are not all from the U.S. would you mind telling us more about them..what countries they came from?

    I have most of mine in the ground and peppers are on them. I just bought several more varietys and need to get them in the ground soon. will try and post about them as they come along..

    seems like a whole lot of peppers growing.and with all the reports of fowl weather, was wondering how it was doing?
    mine were doing wonderfull. had them in the ground and in large to med. pots. even had blooms. then they arrived 15 guinnie hen keets..they were caged for 3 weeks,and started growing rapidly..so.we decided they should come out and play..eat bugs chase off snakes and earn their keep.
    Well, just so happens a couple days after I turned them loose in the yard, I went out back with a knob creek poured over some ice cubes to look at the plants and enjoy the scenery. 1st thing to my mind was where is my shotgun! all I saw was tooth picks sticking out of the ground. and fat guinnie hens. they had picked the stems, leaves & blooms right down to the trunk. Nobody told me they liked to self marinate..now I am going to throw some garlic out back..if they eat that..I am in like flint..he he he..maybe throw them a party couple days before grillin time serve them wine and dried onion flakes..
    who would have thunk they were pepper plant raiders..

    That is an amazing assortment of peppers...
    What is a monkey face pepper? hot? mild? very interesting! I hope we get to see some pepps-vue!!

    hey, the self marinaders are good for something..lol..

    yesterday while out in the back of my house I have a 5' metal gate that leads out to the desert.has a one " gap on the bottom. well there was a small rattlesnake coming like he was going to go under the gate and into my yard. I was looking for the gunnie hens to give them some scratch, normally when they see me they make a racket and come running and now flying and running..when they got to me they saw the snake..WOW! when they were done pecking the big worm..it looked like the type writer ribbon that Ernest Hemmingway used to write the book old man and the sea..lol.
    go guinnie hens..lol.
