    Thanks for the quick replies. So i did my 1st real cook on my new Rec Tec 680, grilled 4 ribeyes about 3 fingers thick, baked potatoes, stuffed mushrooms and some veggies. man those steaks came out just like Rays from rec tec on his you tube video with Stevie. very happy with it thus far.

    yeah it was a typo. But what I'm actually asking was if I have someone over who doesn't want smoke flavor on there meat ( not sure why, I love it) but there is no way of doing that with this grill, correct?

    So i have been thinking on getting the larger RedTec. For those that have it since i have never owned a pellet grill, Does all food have a smoke taste to it?  If i want to grill something that someone doesn't want smoke flavor am i out of luck with this grill?

    Yes i believe you are all correct. I'm feeling better i'm 8.5 hours into the smoke and i'm at an internal meat temp of 191 . I think it stalled at around 183 hours ago.Looking more promising to bieng done closer to 3pm? :}

    I have 2, 8lb butts and seem like there close to bieng done in 6hours i'm at 183degrees seem to be holding there for a while now.

    actually i lowered the smokers heat from 225 to 212 and in the last hour it went up 3 degrees, so currently butts are at 182degree and it is 8:30 am. i would love to pull them at 205 degrees and wrap and ut in dry cooler at around 3pm however i dont think that is going to work unless of course...

    5 hours into the smoke and butts are reading 178 degrees I was hoping they would be done around 3pm not this early its only 8am I have no idea why they're cooking so quick? Even i  pull them at 200 degrees and foil them wrap in blackets  and drop in dry cooler they will sit in cooler fr almost 8...

    I have an electric smoker and if you have read theearlier replies everyone was talking the smoke will be somewhere around 13-15 hours, it has been only 3.5 hours and i'm alredy at 155degrees?

    I need them done by 5pm tomorrow. I have used foil in the past this time i want to do them both with out foil, since i never done it that way, im not sure how long they will take to be ready by 5pm tomorrow?
