I ain't never smoked chops before, but i imagine they're perty tasty. I'd like to try 'em w/ apple but alls i got is hickory.

Just got a call from a buddy of mine that tropical storm Hannah knocked down two of his pecan trees. He's already cut n split the wood n told me come take all I want. Not sure if any of yall have pecan experience, but I remember my ol' Uncle Jay swore by it. All I've ever used was hickory...

I was hopen to have some fer breakfast this morn', but i guess the fam wasn't gonna let that happen. These things didn't even make it the second game. Poor fatties never had a chance!!!
The fattie pics got posted in the Fattie forum. Wouldn't dare take a bite with out postin pics. The butt came out fantastic. Let it set in the cooler for just over an hour. Bone pulled out with no force n it shredded perfectly .
Complete with the finishing sauce.
Mornin y'all, got everything on the smoker with clear skies and a slight breeze . Two 2lb fatties filled with biscuits, eggs n cheese. Should be ready bout the time the rest of the house gets up. The butt should be done round 3 this afternoon. If yer smokin' today, I hope its a good'n .
Sorry this is late, but I had to share my results from the Opening Day smoke!!! For you non football folks, it was this past thursday. First time smokin ribs w/out foilin'. They turned out great and the bones pulled right outta of the meat .
