My first brisket
Thanks for the advice. I am only going to use the basics for my rub. Garlic, pepper and salt. It is already in the fridge soaking up the flavors. I will start cooking it super early sunday about 3am. I hope it comes out good if not i hotdogs as a back up...lol! -

I feel like the chili powder in my seasoning is bringing out a bland taste in the ribs. i think its because its the cheap stuff. maybe i should leave it out. I dont use that much. What should i do? -

I had a hard time maintaining a descent temp. My seasoning needs a little tweeking but all in all they came out really good. They fell right off the bone. Here's a pic. Enjoy! -

I got start on my ribs. I can't seem to find any applewood chunks. So far i trimmed up my ribs. The membrane is the hardest part. I made sure i wrote down excatly how much of each seasoning i put in my rub. Just in case it comes out good i can do it again...lol! I also made a mop sauce to use... -
