Want to buy probe thermo but doesnt need to be wireless

I'm new to smoking and have been reading reviews on the Mav 732 it seems like some work great and some not so much.

Its a little pricey so I was looking for something that works great and is a little cheaper without it being wireless. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also, should I be looking into buying a thermopen as well?

Yea this is what I am looking for. Thanks Tod. Is there a way to add a second probe?

Let me check with Maverick

My guess is the probe is almost as much as the entire thermo

Can I leave maverick  et-2216 thermometer in the meat the whole time or should I take it out after reading?

i see no reason you can't leave in the whole time. think that's what they're designed to do. i'm sure there's a temperature limit, but if you're just smokin, you should be ok. mine are working fine and have seen temps up to 392 or whatever the limit is on the thermometer.
