Grilled Cheese with Extra Bacon (Cherry Tomatoes on the side)

I hadn't had one of these for awhile, so I figured I was due.

My big tomatoes aren't coming in heavy yet, and my cherry tomatoes are going nuts, so that is what I use.

The little guys work better on the side, so that is also what I do.

Every Friday, I eat my Supper alone, so there usually isn't a side, unless it's a left over.

That is also when I normally eat fish, and other things Mrs Bear doesn't eat, except in Tomato season.

Then it's BLTs and Sammies like this one.

Not a big step by step story here----Just some captions with the pictures.

Enjoy,

Bear

First fry up a bunch of good homemade Bacon:

MMMMmmmm.............Hard to keep from eating these, before they make it to the Sammies!!!!

Butter 4 slices of bread (on one side):

Throw some cheese on. I like American & Provolone the best for these. All I had on hand was American.

Lay a nice amount of Bacon in between of the cheese slices.

Close the Sammy up, and spread butter on the outside.

Once in the pan, you can butter the other outside.

Then flip them around until the cheese melts, and you get them toasted the way you like them.

Plate them & add a bunch of halved Cherry Tomatoes.

I have always said, the simpler, the better. Those look really good.

I'm going to have to try to make my own bacon before long. My wife

loves BLT's and if it turned out right, I think I could score a few points

in the kitchen hero arena.

Thanks again Bearcarver...James

I have never had a sammy like that,  I will have to show this to the sammy maker

It's quick & easy.  Just a plain old Grilled cheese, with lots of Smoky Bacon melted into the cheese.

Tastes great, like anything else with a lot of Bacon in it!!!

Looks good Bear!

What's on the menu for tomorrow?
I got a couple days off---Gotta eat some of that left over Ham from that "Double Smoked Ham" I did awhile ago.

"Double Smoked Ham Sams" !!!!!!   < On Rye with Horse Radish & Yellow Mustard >

Hey Buddy that looks mighty tasty.  I need to cure some more bacon. We used the last of it this weekend at the Garlic Festival with the grandkids
