i smoked a bunch of chickens yesterday and i was looking to make a chicken tomato soup tonight....any recipes?

I don't have any recipes but I would like to try the chicken and tomato soup.

I just harvested 200 tomato's and have plenty to experiment with.

I'm sure some one has a recipe they will post.

i might have to just make something up and post it:) unfortunately i got caught up in some stuff so not going to do it tonight

I've used left over smoked chicken many times to make soup, it's very good, don't really have a recipe, I usually just clean out the veggie trays, add some sage, oregano, cumin, s & p and throw in a handful of pasta.

I'm with raptor, please post the results, it sounds like it will be good.

Flash, I found what sounds like a good recipe, I'll have Mrs JPT buy some tomatoes Sunday at the Farmer's Market and give it a try.

Sorry dougmays for hijacking your thread, ...we're just filling in the time while waiting for your chicken-tomato soup recipe.

Sauteed the garlic in EVO and tossed in the chopped Japs.  Also brought the soup, canned veggies and paste to a boil

When the garlic browned i added to tomatoes to make 'em sweat

At the same time added chopped chicken to the soup and brought down heat to simmer. Added mushrooms to the sautee for a minute or 2.

Added everything into the pot and let simmer 15-20 mins.  Realized i needed to use a bigger pot!
