Hi all. I live in north Texas. I use an Oklahoma Joes Custom Deluxe, New Branfels Hondo Deluxe, BBQ GrillWare vertical gas fired and a home built rig for smokers. As far as grills, I  use the Coleman Road Trip, Weber Kettle, and a Small Kettle. I smoke a few time a week.  I like to smoke ribs ( Pork and Beef) , brisket, pork butt, roast, jerky, fish, and  anything in between. I even do veggies.  I look forward to meeting folks here and learning from others here.

I never thought of smoking veggies! What kind of veggies do you smoke? Are they as good as smoked meat? I'm thinking of getting a smoker and if I could also smoke veggies, that would make it even more useful--and an easier "sell" to my husband!

Wow, Mokey, we love zucchini and corn, but I've never had it smoked--but I can imagine it tastes delicious. I guess I'll have to trust you on smoked fruit. I can't imagine that becoming a favorite around here.

Bogeoklein - any veg you can cook on a stove you can smoke or grill. Zuchini, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, mushrooms, asparagus, ect., ect. One of my favorites is to cut some asparagus up, and chop some shrooms in half, then mix them together with some EVOO and kosher salt. Put 'em in a foil pan and toss them into the smoker for 2 hrs., just stir them every 30-45 minutes to keep the ones on top from drying out.
