Working with computers. A virus is the least of bad things. Many other programs hide in the background and do things without you even noticing till its too late. Sony used to have the blue screen of death. Then they made it black. Doesn't go active until you power down and back up. Thats how they combat illegal music downloads. just because it seems ok it could still be in the background doing things.

I clicked on it this morning too.

I have Norton on this machine & if it was bad, Norton won't allow me to go there.

Hope Norton was right!

Before we get back to the subject at hand.  and not to make one sick to the stomach, and speaking as one that is somewhat involved in this subject daily.

Not to make you paranoid but one must be ever so careful as to which sites one would go to, baddies can inject malware into a http response, (so when you open your web browser and go to http://suchandsuch.com (as an example), the response from the web server has already compromised your computer, causing issues (e.g. slowness.) and is usually a first step to downloading additional multiple threats, such as key stroke loggers or memory scraping tools, or ransomware, etc.  to get your valuable information such as CC numbers or online bank information.

The term virus is quite outdated these days, current term is malware which include a broader scope of threats, look up malware on Wikipedia for more info.

and no never seen a smoker like that before  looks like you got a good find for 20 bucks, I be concerned about that black paint as it looks fairly new and I'd question whether if it was high heat paint used or not. Probably need to attach a side firebox somehow.

Update: ........drum roll

It is an Oklahoma Joe Serial number 12811 this thing is OLD!!! I will let the paint flake off. Probably sand blast inside and out.

How did you get that info? Were you able to get the paint off the tag?

I bought this yesterday with similar paint over the tag. I know it's an OK Joe but would love to know the number and model
