Had a Cooks Butt portion Ham and a beautiful day to smoke. Used Cherry chunks and KBB

Ham was 10.5 lbs.

Dotted with some Cloves no rub

Pit was set, used 15 brics coal in the chimney

Was up to temp in 15 min

Pitmaster 110 in the back ground not working,so I adjusted the vents to finish the cook

Pulled the meat when it hit 146* IT

Cut it into 3 sections gave some to my neighbor sliced some for dinner

Served with mashed Potatoes and Corn

That's not the wrong cut.

I do both Shank Ends & Butt Ends. The only difference is the Shank Ends are usually about 20 cents a pound cheaper. I paid 79 cents on my last one.

You did do it pretty much like I do.

You did Excellent !!

Great looking ham, Richie.  The pic just after it came off the smoker, is a real beauty!!!!  You got a great finish on the ham, and no rub to carmalize--nice job.

POINTS for appearance alone, let alone a delish looking ham.

Hi Richie!
Great looking hams!
Tell me about your Pit master 110, why is it not working? How long have you had it? Do you like it and why?
I have been considering a 110, 120, or a 130 for my WSM 221/2" for some time now, but really have a hard time justifying paying close to 2/3 the price of my WSM for the 130 and almost 1/2 the price for the 120. The 110 lacks some of the features that the newer modals have that I think could be useful.
Being able to set it and forget it is of course the best reason to buy any of them, But an alarm that informs me when it's not recovering is important when a sharp kick to one of the legs is needed to drop the ashes as is sometimes required. I am not to concerned about runing out of fuel as my WSM easily holds a 18 pound bag charcoal that lasts 18 to 20 hours. What do you think would you buy one again? And which one would you buy?
Thanks,
Randy,
