Saw an ad this morning for a 30" Masterbuilt Smoker (no window) with cover at Ace Hardware for $129.99 ......

Might be a good deal, but there are a lot of Masterbuilt 3 " smokers (and some are store-specific). Analog, digital?

Did they give the model number?

Only number it shows is 8438972, so don't know if that is a model no or not.

Smoker is a digital 30" and not 3" which you quoted. 

Smoker price is at all Ace Hardware Stores and not just local. Also included is a rib rack, bacon rack, and cover.

Good deal or not, I don't know as I don't get into those type Smokers in 30" nor 40". I was just quoting it for those that might be interested and let them decide if it is a good deal or not.

Best deal any where is still a Masterbuilt BT 40" Smoker with window and legs at Sams for $329 ....

Brought two one for home and one for work.
The coil is the same as the one on master built so I can't see any difference in the units just that Ace had a special run done for them.

Been at that price since last Wednesday. The MB part number is 20071814 and was confirmed to be 1st Gen model in another thread last week by bearcarver and others.

If it is indeed a gen1, you are good to go.

You and Brickguy221 missed the other threads on this. It's a MES 30 GEN ONE! with a rounded top controller. The sales price includes a cover, sausage rack and rib rack. Incredible bargain that I can't take advantage of since I already own this smoker but with the rectangle-shaped top controller.
