Well, seems pork loins are being done everywhere at the moment. Just me and the GF so did a small end on the CG pellet smoker using Lil Devil pellets with a Cuban Pork rub thickly applied. Ran the smoker at P5 and 250 degress and it cooked fairly quickly so foil wrapped for an hour before slicing. The beans.....a week or so back I double smoked a ham and skinned the bone, then tossed it in with a shoulder I was smoking to really smoke it up. Came out with a nice char and the ham bits were like burnt ends. That went into the bean pot and after a few hours the meat was added back in and I'm thinking one of the best bean pots ever for me. I like my beans a little on the soupy side...that juice being delicious to slurp up. The loin was nice and moist, fork tender to cut. Served up with some smashed taters, beans for me and the last corn on the cob of the season for us. Highly recommend tossing a ham bone back in for a good smoking before making the next batch of beans.

I like those disposal grill covers....can be cut to fit.....ez clean up

nice smoke ring....faint, but there

the bone after about 3 hours of additional smoke along with a shoulder

in the pot....beans only soaked for about 3 hours, not overnight

after simmering for hours...it just blossomed out. all meat went back into the pot

added some small bits of the ham in as well...could have been a whole meal

That is a great looking pot of beans chef! Those will be in the menu real soon. [emoji]128521[/emoji]

Yes, a new twist....have never seen or heard of that...decided on a whim to chuck it on with the shoulder....like burnt ends for piggy

Great cook, looks very tasty.
Thank you...it was indeed tasty...and, gasless...perhaps the ham bone? A little more water and some chicken base I got a nice pot of bean soup as well.....Willie

Looks great Willie!  That loin looks about perfect, and I'm with you...the beans would make a meal all by themselves!  Nicely done Sir!

Thx Red....starting to find my groove on that pellet pusher finally. Next bag of pellets I'll try the GMG brand available here at a feed store. $15 for a 28# bag vs $8.88 for the Lil Devils 20# bag which I found to be quite 'dusty' overall but not bad for the price.....Willie

Loin looks good, but I'll have a big bowl of beans please Chef?

Those beans look (To quote my young nephew) Righteous!!  LOL

You'd have to offer the girl friend beans just so she could defend herself.....

As always a great looking meal my friend.
