So the wife wanted some Smoked Wings.  Of course I said "yes dear"

Decided to try a version of Jeff's Pecan smoked wings and I also did some Teriyaki Wings.

On the left:  3 LB whole wings, 1/4C olive oil, My Bird Rub (about 1/3C)

On the right:  3 LB whole wings, Teriyaki Sauce, fresh garlic, chopped green onions.

Marinated for 8 hours.

2 of the 3 racks that I have.  Notice how I stacked them so the Rubbed ones won't drip on the Teriyaki ones? I'm a genius LOL

Into the Smokin-It #2 they go!!!   Hitting them with Pecan and Cherry wood.  Figure 2 hours then I will pull them......rest them.....brush them with additional goodness then onto the Grill to crisp them up.

I would say a quick yes to those myself!!!  Nice way to rack them up so they drip on each other with the same goodness.  Reinhard

Hour and a half and these little guys (well big for wings) are at 168F. Pulled them off to rest for a bit then onto the grill right before serving.

Just before pulling them off.  Damn the smells......

A mess of wings!!!

Teriyaki close-up.....sticky little guys!!!

Spice rubbed close up.  Smell so darn good!!

Think I'll brush the Yaki ones with a little more sauce then add some BBQ sauce to the spice rubbed ones before putting on the grill.

So they are a BIG BIG hit with the Family.  They were fall apart excellent.  Flavor was spot on and that Pecan/Cherry mix did the trick.

Here's some on the Grill.  Brushes with BBQ sauce on the left and Teriyaki on the right.  Crisping that skin!!

Grill all full of winged deliciousness!!!

Final glazing of the Teriyaki Wings!!!

Final shot of the BBQ wings!

Was gonna get the ol money shot but the wife cleared the table while I was getting my camera

Oh well suffice it to say they were perfection.  Smokey flavor with good crisp skin and they fell off the bone.  My kind of chicken wings!

Thanks for looking

Wings are high here too.....paid $2.29/LB which is way more than usual.   Have to say though......they were worth it.

Great wings with a combination of two flavors to pick from.  It would be hard to decide.  Some of each please, would be my request.  Reinhard
