Happy Monday SMF Folks! I trust everyone had a "smoking weekend"
Yesterday, Sunday, a few of my sister friends stopped by for happy hour and my "Sunday Grilled Cheeseburgers." I must say they were off the charts good - almost of good as my 4th of July burgers! Here's my Q-view;
I started off with a 2 /2 lb. chuck roast that I cut into small cubes and 4 thick slices of Applewood Bacon
I like to grind up my own ground beef - taste so much better
Here's what my mix looked like after grinding
I added pinch of kosher salt, ground black pepper and 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce. I didn't add any other spices because the Applewood bacon is going to give my burgers an awesome flavor. This batch made 5 - 7oz. burgers. I had one leftover that I cooked for lunch today that weighed 6oz.
ready for the grill...........
I grilled the burgers about 2 minutes per side - transferred my burgers to foil on the cooler side of the grill, added sautéed Portobello mushrooms and a slice of cheddar cheese. I left the burgers on the grill (with the lid closed) just long enough for the cheese to melt and get all gooey!
my lunch today and it was off the charts good
Grilled Cheeseburger (with a pepper) Anyone.........too bad you don't live closer - I would share it with ya!
