I got some country style ribs on clearance the other day at my local grocery store and thought I'd like to try them out on the smoker instead of the oven for once, so this is my first time smoking them. I did a little searching on SMF and decided to smoke for about two hours with mustard & a dry rub mixture & then pull, foil, add a little liquid, then put back on for an hour or so. I'm using a mixture of cherry and hickory chips. I'm starting a little late today, but I'm still going to have them for a late dinner. I'm settling for some Shiner light blonde while I wait. Here's some starter QView:

Pulled the ribs at 2 1/2 hours & put in a foil pan w/ butter & apple juice for moisture and then topped with a glaze I made of Sweet Baby Rays honey barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and Crown Royal Maple Whiskey. I think the sweet of the glaze will go well with the spicy, salty rub. Can't wait to try them.

Those look very nice

Thanks guys! Here they are completely finished after another 1 1/2 wrapped in foil. They were a little salty (I think it was the salt lick rub I used) but otherwise good stuff and I got plenty of leftovers! Also finished the cakeballs, and they were great for dessert.

Cherry cordial/chocolate & birthday cake/vanilla cakeballs.

Mrs Bear made a mess of those awhile back for her Niece's Baby Shower, but she put them on sticks & made them Cake Pops. Too much work for me!!

Thanks Bear! I don't do cake pops often because the sticks annoy me, but I do the cakeballs quite a bit. Basically every get together they are requested.

Thanks Disco! The glaze turned out really good and the sweet offset the spice of the rub really well. Good stuff!

Yup, looks great

Care to share the recipe for the cake balls.

Thats why I like this website. I just bought a few packages of these. The price was $2.69 lbs, they looked nice and fresh so I thought I'd give it try. Thanks for your post. It give me a nice starting point for these country style pork ribs.
