I am going to Texas soon and this is my opportunity to stock up on much needed equipment. I want to get a sausage stuffer with spare blades, books etc.

My questions are:

What book(s) do you recommend that I get about smoking meats and sausages with a how to smoke section?

What shops (stores) are there where I can buy sausage stuffers, thermometers etc that are cheap, as in for basic level, like 5/7 lb stuffers not 25lb! I need to be able to take it back on the plane!

Thanks

Oh btw I will be in Houston.

That is funny when me and my wife go to the USA she fills hers and my suitcases with with her clothes no room for my stuff.I now just let her go by herself she goes shopping with my sisters I stay here in the peace and quiet of my hammock.I order my stuff online and get my stuff shipped. Snow and Flying are the things I hate these days and do not plan on dealing with either.

Have safe travels

Gracias. ¿Dónde compra sus artículos en línea?
I usally buy direct from stores and have the items drop shipped to my shipper in Miami. My shipper will rebox everything and send it thru customs. While you are in Houston it should be very easy to find a trusting shipper who will handle shipments to Mexico City.If you have a problem finding a shipper let me know I will check with a few friends of mine that get things shipped out of Houston.Do not use UPS,DHL or Fedex very costly and 30% gets lost.
