A few people in my office are headed to Fort Worth Texas for work.  Knowing my addiction to BBQ they asked if I knew of any restaurants to head to.  Unfortunately I've only been to Fort Worth once and that was many years ago.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks you!

My favorite place is Angelo's BBQ (http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/t/118202/since-1958-angelos-great-texas-bbq)  - a review I wrote up on it, along with several others.  But, Angelo's is not fancy, been there since 1958, independent, not a chain, and puts our the best BBQ I've tasted!  They are located at:

2533 White Settlement

Fort Worth, Tx.  76107

817-332-0357

There are others that are a lot fancier, but for me, Angelo's is the place!  Down home and delicious!

I agree with Pops that Angelo's has all around great Q. Can't beat the advice of a local. If for some reason they can't make it to Angelo's there are plenty of other places, both family owned and chains to consider. Before starting my career as chief retirement executive, I used to get to FTW 3 or 4 times a year. Never left without having some Q somewhere. Even though I'm a foreigner by Texas standards, lol, I always liked the Brisket and hot links at Cousin's, and the BBQd Bologna at Risky's sure makes a heck of a good appe-teaser. Oh, the tyranny of work life. So much Q, so little time.

Went to Hard 8 last year and it was good. Not the very best I've ever had, but you get to choose exactly what meats you want and exactly the quantity and pay by weight. Allows you to sample all kinda of stuff. They cook on giant built-in pit smokers.

Again, those are in Coppell, Stephenville, and Roanoke, Not Fort Worth.

Thank you all very much for the suggestions!!!...  I've passed the word along and wait for the messages back.  Unfortunately I didn't get to travel with them this time.
