OK, I'm excited.  I'm going to try Jeff's Hot & Fast Bourbon Smoked pork butt tomorrow.  I just made Jeff's Rub and BBQ Sauce and I have an 8 lb bone-in butt in the refrigerator calling my name.

One question, if anybody else has used this recipe, do you have any pointers for me or tweaking I should know about?  Any little bits of information will be greatly appreciated.

very excited!

I've been thinking about trying the hot and fast method but then I would have to find another excuse for staying up late enjoying a couple adult beverages on my overnighters.

I am trying the method right now. Two butts on the smoker at 0700. Hope it works. Having the in laws over this afternoon to try it out on them. Was linking about moving to the slow cooker vice oven but can't find any info on line if this makes sense. Hate running the oven for 5 hours with company coming over. Thank god the temp outside will only get to 90.

I'm such a dope from not coming back but I'm here now and the pork butt was amazing.  Jeff's Hot & Fast Bourbon Smoked method is great!

Just did the hot & fast method this past weekend.  Used Jeff's rub recipe and also the sauce.  The meat was incredibly tender and easy to pull.  The family just raved about how good it was and this was just my first smoke!  I have to give the credit where credit is due, though.  Thanks, Jeff, for the hot & fast method along with the recipes!
